Altech wins Fujitsu notebook deal

Fujitsu PC has appointed Altech as an authorised distributor of its LifeBook notebook products.

"Fujitsu’s notebooks have many advanced design features such as light weight, extended battery life, sleek, modern design, performance graphics and a broad range that will address most market requirements,” says Antony Sheen, Altech's Australian-based managing director.

“The addition of Fujitsu notebooks to the Altech range is an exciting opportunity for the Altech resellers to provide a premium notebook offering to New Zealand customers. Altech has been searching for a suitable notebook partner in New Zealand.”

Altech says the agreement is non-exclusive, saying Morningstar is still an authorised distributor locally. However, Morningstar's Victor Ho says his company hasn't been distributing Fujitsu PC since late last year.

Fujitsu PC's ANZ business director Ivan Chan says Altech has the sales commitment and reseller support infrastructure needed to distribute its products in New Zealand.
