Axon, Gen-i take out inaugural Symantec Partner Awards

Axon and Gen-i's efforts in selling Symantec offerings were recognised at the first Symantec Partner Awards in Auckland last night. The security vendor plans to make the awards night an annual event.

Gen-i was awarded New Zealand Specialist Partner of the Year while Axon took out New Zealand Enterprise Partner of the Year. The companies were selected on criteeria such as overall performance in revenue, technical and markeitng investments, customer service excellence and certification.

"We are very proud to have received the Symantec New Zealand Specialist Partner of the Year Award," says Gen-i CIO Peter Finch.

"Gen-i and Symantec are committed to helping New Zealand businesses deliver business success through ICT. Over the last year, we have worked closely together to deliver leading security and systems management solutions to our clients which meet both their business and ICT needs. Our relationship with Symantec continues to strengthen and we look forward to the continued success of this partnership in 2010."

Axon CEO Scott Green says the Enterprise Partner Award demonstrates the continued focus and commitment from both Symantec and Axon to better serve the storage, security and systems management needs of its joint customers in New Zealand.

Symantec Pacific vice president and managing director Craig Scroggie says the winners made an "outstanding contribution" to Symantec's local business this year.

"Their achievements benefit our joint customers immensely by helping them secure and manage their systems and information with our market leading security, storage and systems management solutions. We value the local knowledge and hard work of all our partners tremendously and congratulate everyone involved in our Partner Awards this year."
