200 in the Microsoft NZ cloud

More than 200 New Zealand companies have purachsed or are trialing Microsoft online Services, says Microsoft New Zealand's national technology officer Brett Roberts.

The communications and collaboration suite came available in April.

"The response we’ve seen locally is mirrored in markets around the world," he says. One of these is Auckland-based Sistema Plastics.

Financial controller Geri Toa says the exporter needed IT that was reliabvle and flexible and easily managed with minimal overhead.

“Using Microsoft Online Services with hosted Exchange, SharePoint and Live Meeting, we can securely share corporate data. We now have a structure that makes global access to information seamless,” he says in a statement.
