Newly-established distributor Right Connect has secured distribution rights for Right Hemisphere’s Deep Exploration computer aided design (CAD) software in Asia Pacific countries including New Zealand, Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Right Connect is in the process of appointing New Zealand resellers for the software.
Right Hemisphere president and CTO Mark Thomas says its channel has to date been focused mainly on North America and Europe, but the new partnership will allow it to expand in the Asia Pacific region.
The two companies will develop Chinese and Asian language versions of Deep Exploration.
Right Connect CEO Jonathan Prince believes Deep Exploration is ideally suited to the Asia Pacific market, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, as it reduces engineering and manufacturing firms' time to market.
“In our experience, Deep Exploration is the best application we have seen for communicating, publishing and distributing product and engineering CAD data throughout the supply chain," says Prince. "CAD systems are becoming a commodity and with the explosion in CAD data the challenge has become how to manage, convert and share this critical data with non-technical users. "Using Deep Exploration, technical documents, assembly instructions, repair procedures and marketing collateral can be prepared and used easily, without requiring expensive engineering time."
Right Hemisphere’s enterprise offerings, such as Deep Server, will continue to be sold in New Zealand and Australia by Nextspace. Nextspace will also continue to resell Deep Exploration to education and research customers as well as provide market development services — such as training and other promotional activities — to Right Connect and its resellers.
