Quick Poll: Eyeing verticals in 2010

Quick Poll: Eyeing verticals in 2010

Planning for the year ahead often casts the spotlight on emerging technologies, applications and delivery methods that offer potential for growth. But vertical segments of the market are an equally important consideration.

Some IT services companies and integrators are large enough to address most verticals in the local market, whether it's local or central government, the retail sector, health, education, media, or telecommunications.

But for smaller firms, niche specialisations can build a reputation for service to key markets and in-depth technical expertise in a particular field.

Larger channel organisations, vendors and distributors, will be assessing the amount of business activity they believe each vertical will attract in 2010.
