Dell adds to Asia Pacific services portfolio

Dell has launched new Asia Pacific offerings under its Dell Services organisation, formed after the acquisition of Perot Systems.

It is adding software as a service applications in three infrastructure management areas: client device management (including distributed device management, asset management, patch management, software distribution, antimalware and virus management, laptop data encryption, online backup and restore, software inventory and usage management); remote infrastructure monitoring (including fault and performance monitoring, patch management and vulnerability scanning and reporting); and continuity and compliance management (including email continuity, email archive, email security, emergency notification and incident collaboration).

The applications are available in Asia Pacific 15 countries including Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, China, Thailand and Malaysia.
