Dell has made three new appointments to its small and medium business and channel divisions in Australia and New Zealand, including country channel manager James Arnold who is returning to Dell after seven years with Lenovo and IBM in Australia, Taiwan and New Zealand.
Arnold worked at Dell from 1997 to 2002, initially in a technical role, then as ANZ product manager for its Latititude corporate PCs.
He says he was seeking a new challenge after his years with Lenovo and IBM, and will visit Dell in Sydney when he begins his role on 1 February to get a full briefing on his responsibilities.
In addition, Jay Turner has become ANZ director of channels, focused on growing Dell's Partner Direct channel programme and expanding its small and medium business presence. He has held senior roles at Dell over the past eight years, and prior to Dell spent two years as Gateway's marketing manager for consumer. He also previously spent four years at Tech Pacific, establishing its IBM business and overseeing its Microsoft business.
The third appointment is Cath Hodgson-Croker, who becomes SMB marketing director for ANZ. She previously spent 13 years at Symantec, most recently as vice president for Asia Pacific channel sales.
