Inland Revenue seeks B2B services

The Inland Revenue Department is after business to business (B2B) software services as it cuts back on paper transactions. It will use the services for the trial of GST returns and provisional tax with software developers during April this year.

GST Return data transmitted from commercial accounting packages will be received by IRD, validated in near real time, and if accepted will be shared with Statistics New Zealand, while also being submitted for processing by Inland Revenue.

The scope of these services is planned to grow to multiple systems in 2011. Inland Revenue wants to deploy a flexible offering which is cost effective to acquire and manage.

The deadline for replies is Friday, January 29.
