Commentators predict 2009’s recession will have lasting effects on business confidence and several believe IT budgets will remain tight in 2010.

Many firms were forced to delay projects and upgrades last year, but for those who could proceed, leasing and financing became increasingly popular options.

There are a number of these schemes offered, whether by vendors or the financial institutions themselves.

Some firms carrying out long-awaited infrastructure refreshes have the luxury of purchasing IT equipment outright, while others will elect to lease or finance.
