Ingram delays website launch

Ingram Micro has delayed by a month the launch of its new website and SAP system.

Informing resellers of the change, managing director Gary Bigwood said coordinating the two significant programmes had added complexity to its efforts that forced the go-live date to be set back to 1 March from 1 February.

Bigwood told Reseller News it was probably only a matter of days away from having everything finalised, but had to delay by a month due to the way its financial systems work and the cycles of the global company.

"It was a frustrating call because we were really, really close," he says.

It has also informed staff of the change, and moved to assure partners there would be no impact on its service levels.
