Sektor is the latest distributor to sign with Panasonic for a range of IP and analogue security cameras, digital display products and point of sale terminals. It is also offering the Toughbook laptop range which is distributed by Comworth Systems.
The company has an exclusive agreement to distribute the JS-925 touch screen POS (point of sale) terminal which will give its channel partners access to the latest in hospitality focused touch systems.
Panasonic director of system products Mark McKanny says it selected Sektor due to its strength in the hospitality and mobility markets.
“We see many of our products as a great fit to compliment and expand their portfolio of products and services they can offer to their customers enabling them to complete the total solution.”
Sektor general manager Rhys Warren says the deal with Panasonic opens up new markets for its resellers to extend their customers spend.
“For example, this could allow a POS reseller, who is already supplying the POS and EFTPOS terminals, to think about supplying the security and digital display requirements of the retailer.”
He adds that Sektor will be showcasing the Panasonic range at its roadshows to be held in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland during April.
