Belkin searches for new country lead

Components vendor Belkin is recruiting a new country sales manager to replace Matthew Simpson, who will leave the company to spend more time with his family.

Simpson stepped up to the country sales manager role in December 2008 when former country manager Stephanie Brook was promoted to Australia/New Zealand sales director.

“He’s got a young family and he needs to spend more time with them,” says Brook. “We obviously support him in that.”

Although Simpson’s last day will be 31 March, the vendor has already begun “aggressively hunting” for his replacement, Brook says.

The local team is made up of five other staff including administration and customer services staff and a trainer.

Simpson began as national sales manager in March 2008.
