Datacom picks up VMware trophies

VMware partner Datacom took away two awards at the recent VMware Partner Exchange in Las Vegas.

The awards night was an opportunity for the vendor to recognise global partners who have made significant contributions to the industry.

Datacom received two awards, the APAC Desktop Virtualisation Partner of the Year award and the APAC Competency Recognition Award for being the first partner in the region to achieve all three of VMware’s competency requirements.

The company was also a global finalist in Desktop Virtualisation.

VMware ANZ partner director Fred King says VMware views the channel as critical to the success of virtualisation technology in the region.

“We’ve been extremely proud to work with Datacom, whose commitment to VMware and the virtualisation industry has seen them make a significant difference in the market This is typified by their commitment to building technical and sales skills and focusing on technical excellence when working with their customers”.

Datacom Australia director Mark McWilliams says the award is a real testament to the passion of its people and clients.

“Working with a technology and partner that deliver such fantastic business benefits for our clients is certainly fulfilling”.
