CyTrack employs business manager to boost presence

Unified communications and contact centre specialist CyTrack has built on its presence in New Zealand with the appointment of business manager Dan Vedder.

He says an initial focus will be consolidating existing channels.

The Australian company was formed in 1995 and opened a sales and support centre in Auckland in late 2008 to provide technical support, project management and training for partners and customers.

Vedder has worked in the telecommunications industry since 2001 and is back home after an OE in England, which combined telco sales contracting with playing semi-professional rugby and running pubs.

He had dealt with CyTrack managing director Nick Milan during his role as national voice services manager for Teltrac Communications, when based in Christchurch in for two years from 2006.

Both Teltrac and Cytrack partner with vendor LG Nortel, and Vedder met Milan at a global partner conference held by the vendor.

CyTrack works through the local dealer channels of its vendor partners Panasonic, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, LG Nortel (through distributor Atlas Gentech) and Avaya through Distribution Central.

The company also distributes its own unified communications software suite, along with contact centre and business intelligence suites.

Vedder has also previously owned his own consulting company, Converged Solutions. Cytrack has offices in Asia Pacific and Europe.
