CodeBlue hires Wellington regional manager

IT services company CodeBlue has appointed Matt Price to the newly created position of Wellington regional manager, responsible for developing new business in the Wellington region.

Price joins CodeBlue after returning to New Zealand following three years as client director for Singtel Optus in Australia. He has also worked in business development and account management roles for companies including HP, Unisys, and IBM.

CodeBlue’s managing director Ken Davis says the appointment follows strong growth for the company

“In recessionary times, our ability to reduce overall IT costs while improving infrastructure performance and reliability has resulted in strong new business demand. We anticipate a similar response in Wellington where we see good opportunities in the sub-500 seat business market,” Davis says.

According to Price, while the competition between IT service providers at the large end of the market is strong, the mid-sized market in Wellington is less well served. He says this is a gap CodeBlue can fill.

“CodeBlue’s appeal is its capability to give mid-sized organisations the same quality of service that large organisations expect,”says Price.
