Aussie shopping website promises 40 new jobs

Australian internet shopping website catchoftheday.co.nz, which launched its New Zealand site on 1 February, is planning to create 40 new jobs in its first year.

The company says it plans to open a New Zealand headquarters in Auckland this year creating 40 new positions in technical support, warehousing and logistics management.

The company, which will offer manufacturers a platform to clear excess stock over 24 hour periods, says last year more than 1.4 million Kiwis made purchases with it online, up 6 percent on the previous year.
