Newlease set to exceed partner targets

Australian-based SaaS (software as a service) distributor Newlease is on track to reach its goal of 200 local resellers in the next two years.

The company established a New Zealand office last April and ANZ CEO Doug Tutus says the local business has more than doubled in growth since December, when it had 15 resellers here.

“We now have 40 resellers so we are aiming for 100 in the first year and 100 in the second year.

“I think we will do better than 200 because there is a lot of industry talk with regards to cloud computing and managed services, which is where we’re well positioned.”

Newlease has recently launched a marketing arm - G2M - that specialises in assisting businesses to migrate or grow their cloud business. Tutus says it is in the process of rolling G2M out to its partner community.

In addition to country manager Mark Brown and licensing specialist Keryn Algie, the company has hired cloud-specialist consultant Stephen Parker, who starts on April 15.

The company will hold a Day in the Cloud roadshow with Microsoft next month, to introduce Newlease’s consulting services and provide information on growing annuity business.
