3Par appoints ANZ country manager

Utility storage provider 3Par has recruited IT veteran Steve Kelly as ANZ country manager to head its newly-opened Sydney sales office. The office opening is part of its ongoing expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Kelly was trans-Tasman channel director for Hitachi Data Systems until last December and prior to that managed the Asia Pacific small and medium business channel for IBM Tivoli. He has also been the Asia Pacific sales director for F5 Networks.

“With his strong background in sales and in developing reseller channels, Steve is well positioned to help bring the efficiency, agility, and green benefits of 3PAR utility storage to enterprise, service provider, and government customers in Australia and New Zealand,” says 3PAR president and CEO David Scott. 3PAR's Asia Pacific headquarters, headed by Vaughan Woods, is in Singapore.
