Datastor scoops Symantec distributor award

Symantec has awarded Datastor its Asia Pacific and Japan Distributor of the Year prize.

It was one of 10 companies awarded during the recent Partner Engage conference in China.

This is Symantec’s first APJ awards since the company merged with Vertias.

Presenting the award, Asia Pacific vice president Craig Scroggie said the distributor had grown its business with Symantec by 65 percent year on year.

Datastor managing director Dave Rosenberg says the win reflects over 10 years of consistent partnership and true value.

"It is also a huge achievement given the size of the New Zealand market to win an award for the whole of APJ."

Symantec also presented seven Partner Innovation awards, one of which went to Fujitsu Australia.

"These awards aim to acknowledge the achievements of our partners over the last year and we hope this recognition continues to nurture excellence in the channel throughout 2010," says regional senior vice president Bernard Kwok.
