Te Papa developing `Slice of Heaven'

The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is after suppliers to tender for the development of four computer interactives and a supporting website for an upcoming exhibition on New Zealand’s 20th century.

Slice of Heaven: 20th Century Aotearoa will open in October 2010. It is expected to be open to the public for at least 10 years.

The design agency will develop four flash-based, touch-screen interactives that will become part of both the on-floor and online experience; and work with the Te Papa developers to design templates for, and implement the exhibition website.

The website needs to be supported using the museum’s SharePoint system and managed by Te Papa staff.

The site will be housed within the Te Papa online structure. The agency will develop design templates for these systems, and develop Flash components for the online exhibition site.

The deadline for replies is Friday, May 21.
