Salesforce.com boosts Apac revenue

Salesforce.com has reported a 55 percent rise in year on year revenue for Asia Pacific for its first financial quarter of 2011, which ended 30 April.

It says it added 400 new customers in the region during the quarter, bringing the customer base to more than 7400, a lift of 32 percent year on year.

Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff says Asia Pacific continues to be the fastest growing region for the company globally.

“Analysts are telling us that salesforce.com is growing faster than its top two competitors in this region,” says Asia Pacific and Japan vice president Lindsey Armstrong.

Salesforce.com has named Sovereign as a New Zealand business which has adopted or expanded implementations of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Custom Cloud in the first financial quarter of 2011.
