Ministry of Justice seeks audio visual systems

The Ministry of Justice is looking at ways to expand the use of audio-visual (AV) court technology within the justice sector. Audio-visual systems and services provide the technology which enhances witness and evidence presentation, and facilitates the recording and transcription of proceedings.

A decision about AV system and service requirements over a longer contract term is expected to be undertaken early next year and completed around June 2011.

In the meantime, new AV systems and services are required, as is maintenance and support of those new AV system installations.

The Ministry wants to identify and select a supplier with national capacity to supply, install and manage AV systems and services for newly commissioned courtrooms and refurbishments of existing facilities.

The deadline for replies is Thursday, June 10.
