HP to launch Quick Page service in NZ next year

HP will launch its Quick Page managed print service here next year as part of an Asia Pacific-wide rollout.

The service has already been launched in Australia, and New Zealand is one of five other nations in the region where it is scheduled for release. Three partners have already been recruited for Quick Page across the Tasman.

Quick Page is designed to provide SMB customers with a simple and complete contract that covers printer hardware, installation, supplies and support, a recent article in Australian Reseller News says.

According to the report, HP compares the new system to phone plans offered by telcos that simplify hardware and service provision, and support.

Clients sign up in for three years and choose between high, medium or low usage models, the report says, adding excess usage is averaged over a six month period and the bill is separated into monthly payment requirements that are debited from a client’s account each quarter.
