Jade hires Joob sales and channel manager

In an effort to increase its European presence, Jade has hired Mads Moller as JOOB sales and channels manager.

JOOB is the company’s next-generation data storage offering which will be released at the end of 2010.

Jade’s CIO John Ascroft says Moller is based in Christchurch but he will be using his contacts in Europe to focus on recuriting partners for JOOP.

“This is a new product so we’re working with HP and Microsoft but Mad’s role is to identify the new partners we can hook up with in the European space. We’re looking at companies in financial trading software, telecommunication companies and business integrators who will either use or recommend the software to clients.”

Ascroft says it sees Europe as a prime market for the product due to its wide customer base.

“We will be launching Joob in Australasia, Europe and India.”

Moller’s previous roles have include UK sales director for Google, global account director for Vodafone and various senior sales and marketing positions with IBM.
