Quick Poll: Can consumer devices be business worthy?

In most channel and tech businesses, employees are more likely to be early adopters of gadgets. It’s not just younger staff bringing the latest smartphone or camera into the workplace and expecting to be able to use it as freely as they do in their own time.

Smartphones like Apple’s iPhone and other similar devices can enhance productivity and there are many applications being developed that help businesspeople who are travelling internationally, finding their way around, presenting, monitoring budgets and shares, and manage many other activities.

The iPhone and other consumer phones have already gained huge consumer popularity, and some businesses are making the most of their capabilities in connecting people and in multimedia.

The iPad and its 3G version seem next to the subject of consumer hype.

But do such technologies stand up to business use or should they stay at home?
