MPA wins SafeNet Apac partner gong

After 10 months of partnering with information security company SafeNet, distributor MPA has been awarded the vendor’s Best Performing Channel Partner Enterprise Business award for Asia Pacific.

The award was presented recently at SafeNet’s partner conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

MPA channel manager Deidre Steyn says her company was awarded for its efforts through identifying a local market for SafeNet’s enterprise data protection offerings. She says the win was a significant achievement because of difficult market conditions and because the company won over companies in much larger territories such as India and China.

“We showed SafeNet the opportunity that exists within the New Zealand market because of PCI [Payment Card Industry] compliance, where the need for encryption is important. MPA acts as an in-country vendor [for SafeNet], so we have complete access to resources and know what the market needs. We see a real growth opportunity with compliance.”

SafeNet ANZ regional sales manager Vince Lee says the award recognises the investment and achievements MPA has made to support SafeNet’s security offerings in New Zealand.

“We are very encouraged by the results of MPA’s efforts this last year, as well as the groundwork MPA has laid for continuing success with SafeNet in 2010.”
