NetApp recruits ANZ channel sales and marketing head

NetApp has appointed Todd Parsons as ANZ director of channel sales and marketing. The appointment covers two roles - one previously held by Roger Mannett, who was ANZ director of partner sales, and the other held by Scott Morris, who was ANZ director of channels. Mannett left the company earlier this year, while Morris was promoted to an Asia Pacific role with NetApp.

Parsons will report to Peter O’Connor, the area vice president for NetApp south east Asia Pacific.

Parsons has more than 20 years' IT industry experience, including senior sales and marketing positions with Sun Microsystems and HP.

Most recently, he spent six years at Sun Microsystems, where his roles included volume systems and storage sales director and commercial business manager. Prior to joining Sun, Parsons worked for 13 years with HP, most recently as the company’s consumer marketing director. O'Connor says the role is very strategic as NetApp begins its 2011 financial year. "The majority of our local marketing is channel-focused, so it was critical for us to find the right person with extensive experience in these areas, who understands our business, the market and where we are heading."
