Altaro Software hunts local resellers

Malta based security company Altaro Software is recruiting local resellers for its 50-for-50 reseller programme.

Resellers will be selling its on premise backup software, Oops!Backup which can be backed up to NAS, file server or USB drives.

Through the 50-for-50 programme, Altaro Software is giving a 50 percent margin up to the first 50 Oops!Backup licenses that a reseller sells by July 31, 2010.

CEO David Vella says it has just started targeting the local market and is open to any number of resellers.

He adds that the margin is a 50 percent discount on the user price.

“A reseller orders the product from a portal and he will be able to buy the products at 50 percent discount. He can then resell to his customers at retail price. A single license retails for $US37, the partner buys it at $US18.5. Then there is volume pricing for small networks. The 50 percent discount qualifies for that as well.”

Once 50 licenses are sold the margin will then be set to 40 percent as standard.

Resellers will also receive a free not-for-resale product license key, get direct access to the Altaro developer team and access to beta programmes.
