Microsoft announces Office 2010 winners

To entice partners to use advance copies of Office 2010 Microsoft has given away three prizes of $5000 to partners who deployed the software on 80 percent of their computers.

The prizes were split into three categories: 0 to 25 seats, 25 to 50 seats and 50-plus seats. Magnetism, Provoke and Enlighten Designs took out the respective categories while Rob Willis of Gen-i was awarded the individual prize of $10,000.

To qualify for the individual prize people had to send a tweet, email or post a video on YouTube about their favourite Office 2010 feature. They also had to be working for a Microsoft partner.

Partner director Brent Colbert says the vendor received 2,246 entries in total.
