Acting HP imaging and printing group country manager Hamish Alexander has now been appointed permanently to the role. He will be in charge of the Inkjet Web Solutions (IWS) and LaserJet Enterprise Services (LES) groups. Alexander has held a number of positions within HP, including supplies sales and marketing manager, IPG business development manager and business manager retail photo for HP South Pacific and Asia Pacific. HP has also restructured the ANZ Imaging and Printing group to include the sales operations and distribution division. The division will include all distribution for tier one partners. This restructure has split the after market sales (AMS) group, previously in charge of HP’s supplies business, between the Inkjet Web Solutions and LES businesses, with all former AMS employees reassigned to the LES or sales operations and distribution teams. According to HP South Pacific vice president Richard Bailey, the changes to the organisation mean the LES and IWS categories have responsibility for supplies and hardware. “This will give the organisation a clear line of sight in driving world-class printing solutions for consumers through to large enterprise customers," says Bailey. As a result of the restructure, Australian-based sales operation and distribution business manager Mal Wun’s role will be expanded to include distribution tasks. Wun joined HP in 1998 as a financial analyst, and was appointed Finance Manager of IPG in 2002, before becoming Sales Operation Manager in 2004. Rob McCance, also based in Australia, has been appointed as business manager for LES.
