SAP partners to offer hosting

In an effort to help its channel partners, SAP has allowed hosting rights of the vendor's Business All-in-One offerings.

As an alternative to having on premise staff, partners take on the responsibility for application hosting, infrastructure maintenance and software upgrades.

“SAP’s strategy is to deliver our software in any way the customer wants to consume it”, says SAP ANZ general manager of growth markets Helen Masters.

“That could be any combination of on-premise or on-demand, on the device of their choice. With this announcement we are now enabling SMEs, via our partners, to have their SAP software delivered on-demand."

Channel partner CIBER is the first local company to start a hosted service for its global CIBER Flex offering.

Masters says the vendor is keen to grow the number of partners who can offer hosting.
