ViFX office move to cater for growth

ViFX has shifted to larger premises in Auckland city as it adds staff and builds up project work.

The company was previously using serviced offices on Queen St, but has moved to premises in nearby Fort St, that are four times larger than the previous office.

Sales and marketing director Derek Leitch says the company added two staff this month to bring its local headcount to 20. The company began operating in 2007 with three staff.

He describes the new office as “more corporate and modern”, saying the company now has rooms it can use to hold meetings with customers it is working with on projects.

The size of the premises gives the company the capacity to double staff numbers in future, with the company also considering using a nearby gym for an employee wellness scheme, says Leitch.

He says growth has come from being in the “sweet spot of the market”, because CIOs are mainly concerned with virtualisation, the cloud, networking and storage, and ViFX is addressing these areas.

Customers want ViFX to work on more “jugular and strategic” projects for them, particularly in complex virtualisation transitions and developments, Leitch says.
