Lexel boosts technical capability with Shadbolt

Lexel Systems has recruited Jennifer Shadbolt, a former senior technical staff member at Axon and Gen-i, as solutions manager of the presales and technical team.

Shadbolt has worked in the channel since joining Computerland in 1993 (subsequently bought by Telecom) and was most recently application platforms solutions manager for Axon.

Shadbolt says she approached a number of companies when Integral disestablished management positions at Axon upon buying the company earlier this year. She also knew about Lexel as a competitor in the industry, she says.

“Lexel is a New Zealand, family run business and that is the type of culture I wanted to move into. I think they’re poised to take advantage of the opportunities from the likes of these take-overs that are happening.”

CEO Noel Simpson says the company wants to provide more depth to the solutions it offers to its client base, and aims to invest further in its technical capability and resources.

“Our clients are looking to their key suppliers to provide that trusted advisor role and Jennifer is a key part of that to our clients.”
