SnapperNet signs up Cyberoam

SnapperNet has become the exclusive distributor for US-based Cyberoam’s unified threat management (UTM) products. Cyberoam is a division of network security application company Elitecore Technologies.

According to director Richard Paul, Cyberoam’s UTM fills a significant gap in the local market.

“When McAfee discontinued their UTM firewalls, there was no solid alternative solution. Cyberoam have a mid-high market feature set with a low market price tag.”

SnapperNet channel partners will have access to the entire Cyberoam range. There will be a certification program that will allow resellers to sign up to a Cyberoam partner program. This features benefits such as sales lead generation, installation and support revenue.

Paul adds that the distributor won’t be looking for new channel partners to sell Cyberoam.

“To begin with we’ll be focusing on our existing reseller base but if new resellers come along with the aptitude to sell and support the range, we’ll certainly welcome them.”

Cyberoam ANZ business development manager Alkesh Soneji says it had entered into a new partnership in Australia, and was looking for a New Zealand distributor.

“With an established presence and support network in the region, we believe having SnapperNet as our distributor will benefit Cyberoam’s penetration into this market tremendously.”
