On the back of customer growth, IT search company Splunk has posted year over year results of 76 percent for the second quarter ending June 30.
Splunk added 220 new customers globally, including 40 in Asia Pacific. It also had some large customer wins including Gen-i and Corporate Express.
According to Splunk Asia Pacific and Japan vice president Robert Lau, its customers are expanding the use of Splunk beyond search and troubleshooting to enterprise-wide deployments. These include application management, IT operations management, and security and compliance.
Lau adds that a solutions development team was created to develop suites and apps designed to improve the real-time Splunk engine.
“The Solutions Development team will focus on four areas: application management, IT infrastructure and operations, security, and compliance.”
