Trend Micro signs disty deal with NewLease

Security software company Trend Micro has appointed NewLease as an ANZ distributor targeting the managed services provider (MSP) market.

The vendor's products are distributed locally by Ingram Micro and Soft Solutions.

According to Trend Micro the partnership will deliver its range of security products to virtualisation and cloud set ups. NewLease plans to help Trend Micro broaden its own clientele of MSP.

To help its push into the MSP market, the vendor has also appointed ANZ xSP manager Manu Sharma.

Sharma previously worked at Sybase as business development director and has also held roles at Telstra, 3M Touch Systems and Singtel Optus.

Trend Micro ANZ managing director Dave Patnaik says virtual MSPs are one of the fastest growing security markets in ANZ.

“New Lease’s subscription software experience and Manu’s expertise in the sector will enable us to deliver extensive security options to businesses of all sizes in a flexible, scalable, penalty-free arrangement.”
