Motorola Australia signs up Connector Systems

In its bid to become a wireless specialist value added distributor, Connector Systems has signed a deal with Motorola Australia. The company will be distributing wireless network offerings including indoor wireless LAN, point to point networks and voice over WLAN through its reseller channel.

Motorola also works with distributor Vantex, a division of Ingram Micro.

Wireless networking solutions ANZ sales manager Roy Wittert says Vantex will continue to sell the wireless LAN portfolio and mobile computing portfolio.

“The broad wireless solutions networking portfolio will only be available through Connector Systems.”

Wittert says it selected Connector Systems because of its focus on providing wireless technologies and value added service capability.

“With extensive channel development experience across various markets, we believe Connector Systems is well positioned to grow business opportunities with Motorola.”

Connector Systems networking and wireless general manager Mark Dasent says it wanted to partner with a “serious market player” and expand its wireless division. It will be implementing a channel partner programme for its resellers with incentives including healtyh margins and co-marketing campaigns.
