Microsoft gearing up for Tech Ed

Hundreds of software developers and IT professionals will converge on Auckland at the end of the month for Microsoft’s annual Tech Ed conference.

The three day event, to be held at the SkyCity Convention Centre from August 30 to September 1, includes 171 presentations and workshops on topics ranging from Windows Phone 7 and cyber security to Microsoft cloud services and future innovations.

Microsoft New Zealand developer and platform group director Scott Wylie said this year’s event would be bigger than ever and would include sessions for all comers. Keynote speaker August de los Reyes, Microsoft’s user experience director, would prove particularly popular, he said.
