Samsung New Zealand will launch five portable PCs – two netbooks and three notebooks – next week.
The vendor has been weighing the local release of notebooks since last year, after four were launched across the Tasman last May.
Last July, former IT sales manager Anton Napier told Reseller News the investigation into a local notebook launch had fallen with in his area of responsibility, but said at that time that the company had not decided at when or if it would happen. He said it would have a better idea of that last August.
A local Samsung spokesperson now confirms next week's launch will include two midrange notebooks and a high end model.
The spokesperson expects further product releases next year.
