Synnex secures Clickfree storage backup

Synnex has been awarded trans-Tasman distribution rights for Clickfree’s automatic storage backup products.

The distributed range will include Clickfree’s C2 Portable Backup drives, C2N networked backup that backs up multiple home PCs and Macs, the USB-connected Traveller backup, the Transformer Cable range that enables USB drives from other manufacturers to work with Clickfree’s solutions (that includes a Special Edition, an edition for iPods and iPhones and a Network Edition) and accessories including cases, power adapters and cables.

The products are aimed at small office users, multi-computer households and general technology consumers, the companies say.

“It’s exciting helping companies launch products into a new market and we’re pleased to be working with Clickfree to help them do this in New Zealand,” says Synnex country manager Richard Harri.

Former Logitech chief Marco Manera is Clickfree’s vice president of sales and marketing. He is responsible for identifying sales opportunities and building strategic partnerships in Asia Pacific.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Synnex as the distributor for Clickfree in New Zealand. Synnex brings years of experience in the New Zealand channel, first-class logistics and nationwide coverage.” says Manera. “Synnex has strong relationships with the key channel partners in New Zealand and we look forward to working with them to launch Clickfree in a highly competitive market.”

The Clickfree products will be sold nationwide through Noel Leeming Group.

Synnex has also recently signed its first communications device brand - HTC Corporation. It will offer the companies smartphones and wireless products.
