NZICT gets new chairperson

The NZICT Board has elected Simpl Group CEO Bennett Medary as its new chair, replacing Cisco country manager Geoff Lawrie who has completed his one year term as chair.

Lawrie didn't seek re-election.

“We aim to engage with more local hi-tech companies as well as other industries using technology to improve productivity and drive economic growth for New Zealand," says Medary. He founded Simpl more than 15 years ago.

NZICT has also appointed Kinetics Group director Andrew Hunt as vice chair.
