Fujitsu posts $1.5m profit

IT services company Fujitsu NZ has recorded a net after tax profit of $1.496 million for the year ended 31 March 2010. The result came from total operating revenues of $116.4 million.

In 2009 the company posted revenue of $118.3 million and profit of $30,000.

Fujitsu managing director Stuart Stitt says the growth in profit came directly as a result of increased revenue from the New Zealand and Pacific Islands markets.

“Our increase in profit can be attributed largely to improved revenues in both the managed services and infrastructure solutions parts of the business.”

He adds that although it was a challenging market, the company increased operations such as a new service desk in Auckland.

“Building on the success of last year, we are continuing to win more new business and are extremely positive about the opportunities that lie ahead,” says Stitt.

The company employs over 560 staff locally.
