Excom NZ carries on as Australian business liquidates

Excom Education in New Zealand continues to operate as its Australian counterpart goes into liquidation.

The training provider's local business says it is a separate entity, so it is still running its courses, but says it can’t give any further statement.

Across the Tasman, Australian Reseller News reports that a meeting was held to decide the fate of the company on August 25. Excom directors Peter Koukounaras and Graeme Newey had since taken the step to wind up Excom and appointed liquidators Roger Grant, Victor Dye and Nicholas Giasoumi from Dye & Co.

The liquidators had not yet responded to calls for comment by ARN.

According to documents obtained from ASIC, it lists the Commonwealth Bank and its wholly owned subsidiary, CBFC as its chargees.

Course registrants in Australia arrived at Excom premises to find it locked with a notice on the front door, ARN reported.

With another office in Singapore, Excom established itself in Auckland in August 2008. Its vendor partners include Microsoft, Cisco, VMware and Novell, while it also trains in CompTIA, ITIL and for the Service Desk Institute.
