With new markets in its sights, Aruba Networks is seeking more partners for its PartnerEdge incentive programme.
Asia Pacific and Japan channel sales and business development vice president, John Cunningham, says its success in the education, government and healthcare space has led to its Asia Pacific revenue growing 50 percent year on year. It wants to further this growth by targeting new sectors.
“There are segments such as energy, retail and logistics that Aruba has not been present in and we need new partners that are specialists in those industries.”
The vendor wants to appoint up to three such specialists in selected countries in the Asia Pacific region.
The PartnerEdge programme comprises four partner levels of authorised, silver, gold and platinum. Benefits include free technical training, deal registration, discounted demonstration equipment and online sales training. Partners also get access to online resources via a partner centre portal.
The programme is being implemented to formalise Aruba’s arrangements with partners in the Asia Pacific region.
“The objective of this programme is to ensure that companies representing Aruba have proper training and certification, so the customer will have a total understanding of the product,” Cunningham says.
“We have a lot of partners that do not have formal agreements with us, so we’ll be moving them into a proper business relationship,” he says.
PartnerEdge was introduced with a soft launch to ANZ resellers on August 10.
