Auckland's Long Bay College tenders for SAN

Long Bay College in Auckland is looking for IT hardware suppliers to provide two HP host servers and a SAN storage unit.

The college has an IT network of 10 servers and 500 computers / laptops with 1600 users, nine computer laboratories and six pods consisting of 15 computers each.

The network infrastructure of the college has been upgraded in stages over the past several years and a further upgrade of the infrastructure is planned for the end of this year. All classrooms have been cabled and the college uses information and multi-media technologies extensively in the delivery of the curriculum.

The college wants lease payment terms over five years year repayment options and delivery of the hardware by November 1.

It will short-list up to four parties from whom the final supplier will be selected.

The deadline for replies is Wednesday, September 8.
