IBM calls for Partner Awards entries

IBM has opened its 2011 Business Partner Awards for entries.

Once again, the Supreme Award winner will be chosen from winners in four key categories: New Intelligence, Smart Work, Dynamic Infrastructure and Green and Beyond.

In the New Intelligence category, judges will recognise solutions that help customers take advantage of information in real time to make more intelligence business decisions, while the Smart Work category recognises solutions that empower staff, customers and suppliers, and drive profit.

The Dynamic Infrastructure category will reward a winner whose solution lowers cost, and is intelligent and secure.

The Green and Beyond category acknowledges the IT industry’s need to efficiently use resources and take quick action on energy, environmental and sustainability issues.

Other award categories include Rookie of the Year and Best Co-Marketing.

The six awards mentioned above are now open for partner entries.

"This year, we have opened up the Best Co-Marketing category to any of our business partners and distributors as they are driving great campaigns in the marketplace and we want to ensure we can recognise them". says NZ channels marketing manager Julie Monette Sudfeldt.

In addition, IBM has introduced four Partner of the Year awards recognising achievement in particular technology areas. They comprise Power Business Partner of the Year, System Storage Business Partner of the Year, System x Business Partner of the Year and Software Business Partner of the Year. These will be chosen by IBM rather than from partner entries.

“The new Business Partner of the Year Award recognises business partners and resellers who have had an outstanding year, in delivering solutions and business outcomes for their customers. says New Zealand channels manager Raymond Skoglund.

"Partners will be selected based on business growth, customer satisfaction, investment in IBM skills as well as their commitment to the depth and breadth of the IBM portfolio". Skoglund says.

The vendor also offers two awards for which industry members are nominated and voted on by their peers – these are the People’s Choice Distributor Award and the People’s Choice Reseller Award.

Entries close on 17 December. To submit an entry, visit http://www.bpawards.co.nz
