Connector Systems secures exclusive Ruckus deal

Wifi specialist Ruckus has selected Connector Systems as its sole local distributor, discontinuing an agreement with Renaissance.

Connector Systems' general manager of networking and wireless, Mark Dasent, says Connector Systems has had significant growth in its wireless business.

“This growth has been on the back of a big push to train up our resellers through the Ruckus Wise Guy Certification. We are now certified to deliver this certification based training in New Zealand and are continuing to offer training to resellers.

Connector Systems will hold another of these courses in Auckland from 3-5 November and one in Christchurch from 9-11 November.

More than 100 schools are using Ruckus' wireless offerings here, Connector Systems says. It will be launching a channel promotion with incentives that include trips to Ruckus' Big Dogs channel event next March.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
