Data management and protection vendor Commvault has hired Lincoln Goldsmith as its ANZ channel manager, based in Sydney.
The company says this is the first time it has appointed a full-time channel manager.
Goldsmith has near on seven years’ experience in IT, having previously spent three years as an account manager for Commvault reseller XSI Data Solutions based in Australia.
He was most recently a business development manager for Netstar Logicalis and prior to that was a multinational account sales manager for Netapp, working from the Tokyo office.
Goldsmith says he has “stayed close to Commvault” since his time at XSI, where he worked in that company’s distribution branch set up to support the vendor.
He also talked to customers about Commvault’s backup and recovery offerings during his time with Netapp. His initial priority in the new role is to meet with channel partners and understand market needs.
“With a strong sales and training background, he is dedicated to building strong business relationships with the channel partners throughout Australia and New Zealand,” says Commvault ANZ country manager Bryan Stibbard.
