Telecom has opened a retail concept store in its central Auckland offices that follows a new formula where customers can trial products in a way the company says would be more similar to home, office, or mobile use.
“The philosophy behind the concept store is less about Telecom’s products, technology and networks, and more about our customers and New Zealanders doing what inspires them,” says retail CEO Alan Gourdie.
The store is divided into five spaces – Home Sweet Home, Work and Play, Out and About, Let’s Talk and Help is Here.
In the Home Sweet Home area, visitors can download Tivo content, use the Mini Mac media server or watch Flickr photos on wireless photo frames.
Product and price information is incorporated into blackboards, postcards, screensavers and water bottles in the store. It includes designer furniture and artwork, and clothing firm Huffer has designed mobile broadband T-sticks that will be sold by Telecom nationwide.
