Yoobee retail brand starts with small stores

Renaissance will introduce the Yoobee colour scheme and brand to the New Plymouth Magnum Mac store this week, and plans to do the same at Student IT stores in the four main centres before Christmas.

The Yoobee brand has already replaced Magnum Mac’s brand online, and the company says the web presence was the easiest to change first.

Marketing director Warwick Grey says his company can “Yoobee-ise” smaller stores, but the Apple Premium Reseller stores, of which there are three Magnum Mac outlets listed on Apple’s website, are “harder to put Yoobee in there without compromising the [Apple] experience.”

Grey says it will need to work with Apple to introduce the new branding to these stores in the longer term, as Apple has tighter control over the look of these stores.

Renaissance will also provide new point of sale and "training in a box" packages for its retail outlets.
